Abstract: The paper aims to point out the requirements for quality increase in higher education, in terms of a concentrated and effective connection beยญtween higher education and practice, and the transformation of education harmonized with the requirements of the economic and social environment. The biggest challenge in the transformation of education is brought about by the combination of educational technologies and teaching methods with well-equipped digital learning materials and tools that help the student in autonomous learning, the development of communication, cooperation, and leadership in group projects, in the use of highly interactive online learnยญing tools and the use of communication on the social media platform. The transformation of education is a principal breakthrough in the formation of new universal competencies for the 21st century. The new vision of education transformation at universities requires a new set of foundational literacies, competencies, and character qualities.
