Ing. Marcel Kordoš, PhD., is an assistant professor at Department of Public Administration and Regional Economics, Faculty of Social and Economic Relations (FSER), Alexander Dubček University in Trenčín (ADUT).

Completed education: Faculty of Commerce at University of Economics in Bratislava in the field of study „Commercial Engineering“ majoring in „Economic Diplomacy“ (Ing., 1998); postgraduate studies – full-time doctoral studies at Faculty of Commerce, University of Economics in Bratislava in the field of study „International Economic Relations“ (PhD., 2006). 

Author of more than 150 scientific papers and publications issued at home and abroad (Czech Republic, Germany, Lithuania, Ukraine, Poland, Russia) indexed in scientific databases Web of Science (40 records, h-index: 8) and Scopus (13 records, h-index: 5). Completed internships and lecturing: University for Information Science and Technology “St. Paul the Apostle” in Ohrid, Republic of Macedonia; Polytechnic University of Valencia; University of Alicante; Russian University of Economics, Plekhanov, Moscow.

Areas of scientific interest: global political economy, international business, international economics, economic and public diplomacy, integration processes in European Union, EU economic policies (especially regional), US and EU foreign trade policy strategy and their mutual trade relations.

Scientific research project: projects of Internal Grant Scheme of FSER ADUT (Head of project 3, researcher 3); Grant Agency within the Ministry of Education of Slovak Republic VEGA (Head-Deputy of project 2, researcher 5), KEGA (researcher 1) and Slovak Research and Development Agency (researcher 1); projects funded by Visegrad Fund (researcher 3) and others.

Other activities: Editorial board member of international scientific journal VADYBA (Lithuania), executive editor of international scientific journal FSER ADUT „Social and Economic Revue“, Erasmus+ Faculty Coordinator.
