Dr. Ilhan Ozturk is Professor of Economics in the Faculty of Economics and Business at ร‡aฤŸ University, Mersin-Turkey.

In addition to academic duties, he is the Director of Higher Vocational School. His research interests are in the areas of energy and environmental economics, and international economics.

The total number of his articles published is more than 160. Of these articles, 135 are listed by ISI Web of Science-Social Sciences Citation Index (SSCI) and Science Citation Index (SCI).

His research with an international focus has been published in a number of leading international journals such as Energy Policy, Energy, Energy Economics, Emerging Markets Finance and Trade, Applied Energy, Applied Economics Letters, Economic Research, Renewable and Sustainable Energy Review, Environmental Science and Pollution Research, Ecological Indicators, GCB Bioenergy, and etc.

Dr. Ozturkโ€™s research has been cited over 11,000 times in peer-reviewed international journals. In addition, his research has been widely cited in various refereed proceedings, edited books, Ph.D. and master theses.

Recipient of several awards for research and teaching, Dr. Ozturk is an ad-hoc reviewer for various leading international journals and sits on the editorial boards of several refereed international journals.

In addition, he is the Editor of โ€œInternational Journal of Economics and Financial Issuesโ€, โ€œInternational Journal of Energy Economics and Policyโ€, and Associate Editor of โ€œRenewable and Sustainable Energy Reviews (2011—), and Energy, Ecology and Environment.
