Lecturer and researcher in the Department of Financial Economy and Accounting at the Faculty of Economics Sciences and Business Administration at the University of Extremadura, in Spain. She is an Economist specialized in Financial Accounting, Intellectual Capital and Corporate Social Responsibility.
She has managed the Orientation and Teacher Training Service at the University for four years. Now, she is managing the University Social Responsibility Office.
Her research interests range across several key areas within Intellectual Capital, Corporate Social Responsibility, Corporate Volunteering, University Social Responsibility, Social Entrepreneurship and Social Innovation, including: public and social policy contexts and the nexus of relationships between accounting, social accounting and accountability. Now, her research is linked with the management at the University, with the possibility of implement theoretical studies on the practical field.
She has published in various peer reviewed journals, books, international conferences proceedings and monographs. She has also held lectureships at a wide variety of academic institutions. She organized a lot of seminars, conferences and international summer courses. Now, she manages a MSc on Management of Corporate Social Responsibility.
She speaks fluent English and has extensive academic and professional experience in management and international relations. She has contributed to the training of internal community of the University and is involved in various research projects aiming to foster CSR in SME´s. She is also active member of various professional and academic international organizations such as the Spanish Association of Accounting and Business Administration, Spanish Association of University Professors of Accounting and the International Association on Public and Non-Profit Marketing.
